摘要👋:Advancedconnected automated vehicle technologies enable us to modify driving behaviorand precisely control and coordinate vehicle trajectories at the individuallevel. The seminar introduces a shooting heuristic algorithm and optimizationframework for constructing feasible trajectories for a stream of vehiclesconsidering realistic constraints, including vehicle kinematic limits, trafficarrival patterns, car-following safety, and signal operations, to yield the optimumtraffic performance on mobility, environment and safety. The seminar alsointroduces field experiments with connected automated vehicles, including speedharmonization, eco-approach and departure and cooperative lane change andmerge.

简介🏌🏼‍♂️:Dr. Jiaqi Ma is a Research Scientistand Project Manager with Leidos, Inc., working at the Saxton TransportationOperations Lab of the FHWA Turner Fairbank Highway Research Center. He receivedhis PhD degree from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering atthe University of Virginia. His areas of expertise include connected automatedvehicles, Intelligent Transportation Systems, traffic modeling and simulation,network optimization and planning for operations. He has managed andparticipated in many research projects funded by USDOT and state DOTs, coveringa wide range of areas including vehicle automation-based Speed Harmonization,Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control, bottleneck identification and mitigation,and Benefit/Cost analysis of Traffic Incident Management Strategies, etc. He isa Member of the TRB Standing Committee on Vehicle-Highway Automation, a memberof the TRB Subcommittee on Travel Time Speed and Reliability, and a member ofthe American Society of Civil Engineers.
